This month, it is my intention to inspire you with a little something (big, actually) called, “Self-Acceptance.” What is true about your nature? That which is true, simply is. What is not true, simply is not. It is not good and it is not bad. It just is. Accept it. Accepting is moving away from judgments of yourself and others. It does not serve us to judge. Instead, find that place of compassion. Appreciate that we are all doing the best that we possibly can with what we have to deal with at this very moment. Hold yourself and those around you dearly in your heart. Understanding can help here, too. It comes from realizing that what happens in our lives does not really matter. What we choose to become from our experiences is truly significant. Choose to become what you want most in life. I challenge you to notice when you are judging. What if someone cuts you off in traffic? At that point, do you want to chase them down and give them a mean-spirited piece of your mind? Do you want to shout out rude names, make obscene gestures and waste your valuable energy behaving in a negative way? In other words, do you want to judge them, based on your experience? How could you possibly know what that other person is dealing with at that very moment? How about a new perspective? Ask yourself, “Does that really matter?” And then decide who you want to become, based on your experience. Accept it for what it is and let it go. I found a quote about integrity that I’d like to share with you. “Real integrity is doing the right thing, knowing that nobody’s going to know whether you did it or not.” Oprah Winfrey Live in your truth. Know what you stand for and what you do not. Honor your values. Love your incredible Self!
