"Selfishness is not living as one wishes to live;
it is asking others to live as one wishes to live."

~ Oscar Wilde

Our ego seems to tell us how we are defined as contrasted with others or the world. If our ego does not like what it sees in us, it may tend to tell us to change – the others. Who are we to ask others to change so that we can feel better about ourselves? Ever think about that one?

Try this one on: What if we changed ourselves first and then sat back to see what happens next? Are you still with me here?
Ego plays a big part in all of our lives. Some good. Some bad. It can be quite easy, and even inviting, to stay enveloped in our own limited ego. But then where are the possibilities? Where do those possibilities hide when our ego is dictating our thoughts, beliefs and our actions?

The next time the thought occurs to ask another to live the way you wish to live, ask yourself what you can do to live as you wish to live.

Let me know how that goes for you. It’s a biggy. I look forward to hearing from you.
