Welcome! May my words of courage empower and inspire you today. “Let me harness my fears in a positive way to create strength in difficult situations.
As you may or may not know, I have experienced some extreme change in recent years. For the early part of this change, I asked: What did I do to deserve this? I chose the comfort of being a victim to my circumstances. The longer I remained feeling uncomfortable, the more I asked that same question. And if that wasn’t enough, I then looked back, even into my childhood, further wondering what I did to deserve some of that discomfort. I was miserable. Two years ago, I chose a new question: What can I do to change this? That was the day I began to take complete responsibility for everything. I chose a new attitude. Rather than believing that everything was happening to me, I chose to believe that it was all happening for me. It didn’t occur over night. The results of these changes are what bring me here to you today. I told myself I would master this thing called life and I would work tirelessly toward my mastery. I also told myself I would share my wisdom with the world in an effort to make it a better place. So, I started digging toward the depths of my inner strength. I read the above quote, which I found on a “courage candle” my good friend, Mary, gave me. I decided pity parties were okay, but they could only last six minutes. If they lasted longer than that, I needed to light the courage candle and read those words until I could say them with strength and conviction and believe in them with all of my heart. Some nights I had to fight hard and it took many hours to believe I had that courage. I never gave up. Do what is right and not what is easy? I started letting go of objects, relationships, events and old beliefs that no longer served my greater good. After feeling a sense of abandonment and loneliness since the first days I remember toddling around on Mother Earth, I had to distance myself yet further? Now, why would I want to do that? It felt strange. It felt crazy. It went against every thing I had ever thought about. It hurt like hell. I was better at clinging and hoping and that’s where I should stay. But I knew deep down inside if I could stand on my own ground and not the ground of another, I would rise to places I never dreamed I could exist. And I have. My awesome coach believed in me when I didn’t and called forth my strength and courage. It all had to start with me. (Yes, I tell you this in every single newsletter.) I read something today that said I should have the courage to give of myself and that will come back to me over and over again. I give you this part of me today in my effort to show you that I have made drastic change and survived some pretty tough times. The hard core work is now paying off and I am creating some things related to wonderful relationships, abundance (not all just money, more like the love for myself) and, most of all, a sense of fulfillment. This is joy. Now, my clients are changing the world with what they are creating and I want to take this opportunity to thank them for having the courage to change their lives through our work and believe that, as a team, we can create miracles in our lives. We’ve celebrated some pretty incredible things in the last few weeks and we’ve only just begun. What is coming back to me I find amazing! I’ve stepped outside of my box to tell you this. I feel vulnerable in doing so. I am ready to take my work to the next level and I’m not attached to that outcome. I will accept whatever arrives and know that it is what the Universe intends for me. I will greet each day with gratitude. And I thank you for being here with me. I am interested in creating more change. I ask that you help me do that, in whatever fashion you desire. If you need cues, just give me a call. And when you see me up on that stage one day, speaking to thousands, inspiring with passion, you will remember that it all started here. Take some time to turn a fear into strength. It’s what is right, not what is easy. And it gets easier from there. You can trust me on that!
